ARCA CHAPLAIN FORMS NEW MINISTRY -- FOCUS MOTORSPORTS MINISTRIES

Concord, NC - October 1, 2002, ARCA RE/MAX Series Chaplain Bill Krick and his wife, Dianna, have formed a new ministry named FOCUS MOTORSPORTS MINISTRIES in an effort to provide ongoing support to this race series.

Chaplain Krick has been serving the ARCA community for the past seven years, but in June of this year, the ministry lost their sponsor, and Chaplain Krick made the decision to remain with ARCA.

"My wife, Dianna, and I made the decision to remain with this community which we have grown to love like family over the past seven years that we have served this community," explained Chaplain Krick. "Our personal focus for this ministry is to continue serving the ARCA community by providing spiritual guidance, trauma care, biblical teaching, counseling, life issue resources, worship time at every track and prayer support."

ARCA drivers and team members have banded together to make sure their Chaplain remains with them. Toward that end, fundraising efforts have been planned to help Chaplain Krick and FOCUS MOTORSPORTS MINISTRIES. A "Silent Auction" is being held in conjunction with the upcoming race weekend at Lowe's Motor Speedway, October 10-13. The auction, being held at Andy Hillenburg's Fast Track High Performance Driving School located in Harrisburg, North Carolina, will open with a "Sneak Preview" on Thursday, October 10 from 9-11 a.m. for the ARCA community, and will be open to the general public on Friday October 11 from Noon until 5:00 p.m. All proceeds from the auction are solely for the benefit of FOCUS MOTORSPORTS MINISTRIES.

"Some of us show up at the track each week with little or no family members present, but with Bill and Dianna at each track I know that whatever happens they will handle the different situations in the correct manner." said ARCA series driver Jason Jarrett.

"I've only spent two years with the ARCA circuit but Bill is one of those people that goes out of his way to make sure every team knows that he is there to help. When it came time that Bill and Dianna needed our support I wanted to be involved. That is just another good thing about ARCA; we are a pretty close group," added Jarrett.

Veteran ARCA/REMAX driver, Billy Venturini has known Chaplain Krick and his wife, Dianna, for a long time.

"It's an absolute pleasure to have them at the race track. Chaplain Krick's unselfish efforts as a caring and loving minister give us peace of mind and soul every time we get in the race car. This is just a way for our team, and the entire ARCA community, to say thanks and show Bill and Dianna how much we love them," said Venturini.

FOCUS MOTORSPORTS MINISTRIES is based out of Concord, North Carolina. Chaplain Krick and his wife travel over 30,000 miles a year to provide ministry services to the ARCA/REMAX racing family.
